Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What if I have a different insurance than what’s accepted?
If you have one of the plans listed above, you're in good shape — you'll get the maximum benefit for almost all of our services. That said, your copay, deductible, and/or coinsurance may still come into play, so it's worth reaching out to your insurance company before your first session to get a clear picture of your coverage.
If your plan is out-of-network, don't worry — you may still be able to get some or all of your sessions reimbursed. Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask to speak with member services about out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health. A few good questions to ask:
What percentage of services is covered?
Do I need to meet a deductible first?
Where should superbills be sent (fax, email, or mail)?
How do I know if I qualify for the sliding scale rate?
Book your free consultation and mention your interest; if sliding scale is a fit for your situation, we'll send you a short application afterward to review household income and size and confirm your rate.
Is sliding scale always available?
Slots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If nothing is currently open, you're welcome to ask to be added to a waitlist for the next available slot.
Does sliding scale apply if I have insurance?
Sliding scale is intended for clients who are uninsured, underinsured, or paying out-of-pocket. If you have in-network insurance benefits, using those is generally the better option — we're happy to help you figure out which applies to you.
Do you offer private pay services?
Yes, we offer both private pay and sliding scale rates. Many clients choose this for the privacy, flexibility, and quality of care it provides. Contact us and we can help get you started.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.
What if I still have questions?
Reach out — we’re happy to talk through any concerns before you schedule.
